All
Nations Hope provides educational workshops and training opportunities for
communities, schools and organizations within the province of Saskatchewan.
All requests will be referred to the Program Director; who will then send
you a quote for the services requested. If you require any information

Workshops:
-
HIV/AIDS: a general introduction to HIV
and AIDS that includes basic information on what it is, transmission and
prevention. Learn the basics, know the facts, know your status so you can
protect yourself and your partner.

The Basics of Hepatitis C: This workshop
will give you basic facts and updated information on transmission,
prevention and treatment of Hepatitis C (HCV). This work shop also cover the
basics on hepatitis A and B.

Two Spirits: Two-Spirit People is a term
that emerged in 1990 and usually indicates a person who has a masculine and
feminine spirit which enables them to be a warrior (a male role) or to be a
caregiver or teacher (a female role) and were once highly regarded and
respected. If you would like to know more about Two Spirited people, book a
workshop for your group.
Training
-
Sharing the Knowledge: 2
day training on HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C (HCV). This training is designed
for front line workers who may be dealing with at-risk populations or who
are living with HIV, AIDS or Hepatitis C. It will provide a better
understanding and compassion to work with Aboriginal people living with HIV,
AIDS or HCV.

Sisters in Spirit: 3 day
training on working with Aboriginal women
struggling with addictions during pregnancy. This training is designed for
front line workers and professionals who are working with Aboriginal women
who are struggling with addictions during their child bearing years. It will
give them a better understanding of the worm, share some traditional
teachings and identify ways of healing.

Circle of Knowledge Keepers:
10 day training - This
training was designed for inmates in a correctional systems. It is peer
based training which has components of traditional teachings and basic HIV
and AIDS information.

Youth Leadership: 5 day
training - This training is designed for youth and is peer based. The Young
Eagles Challenge is a manual which outlines the training. A team of experts
will be organized to deliver this training.

Two Spirit Training: 2 day
training - learn the history of Two-spirited people and the roles they
played within the different First Nations tribes. Before contact with the
Europeans, First Nations people across Turtle Island recognized and
respected the special gifts of a two spirited person. Today they are looking
to reclaim their respected positions within the circle of Aboriginal people.
