Services All Nations Hope's mission is to support and assist First Nations, Métis and Inuit families living with HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C to live meaningful lives, and to provide services, education, training, and awareness of HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C in the community. The Network has the capacity to offer services and programs that are geared to the Aboriginal people through development, initiation and training of ANHAN staff, board and members, to take ownership of clients that may present as living with HIV/AIDS to truly meet their needs.
Displays: Provides displays with resources for community groups upon request. Bi-Monthly Newsletter: Positive Journeys is available as in an e-version and can also be mailed out to members of ANHAN upon request. Website: Informative website with the latest information and resources. Individuals can also join our Facebook group. Ask us a Question: Available by emailing ANH, excellent way to having your questions answered anonymously. Drop In/Outreach: Available from 9 am - 5 pm, Monday to Friday, referrals accepted for Aboriginal people living with HIV/AIDS or at-risk population. Sharing Circles: Available on a weekly basis to community members. AA Meetings: Healing Spirits AA meeting held on Tuesdays at 3:00 pm Elders: Access to Elders on a weekly basis and upon request. Arts & Crafts: Sessions on Tuesdays at 1:00 pm. All are welcome and bring your art/craft to share with the community. Movie Time: Available on Fridays at 1:00 pm. All are welcome, bring a friend.
Tuesdays - 1:00 - 3:00 pm The women's group meets once a week. The women from the community support each other and provides a place where they can feel safe discussing their feelings, or talking about their issues in a friendly and caring environment. Staff will provide Aboriginal teachings and counseling. The women's group learns through workshops, talking circles, ceremony, arts & crafts. It is a good opportunity for staff to share the knowledge and create awareness within the community. For more information contact Selina.
Thursdays - 3:00 - 4:00 The men's group meets once a week, and it's men helping men. Different activities include talking circles, ceremony, recovery, using arts and crafts as a way of healing and discovery of male roles. Everyone is welcome to join in. The men's groups provides staff an opportunity to get to know the clients that walk through the doors of All Nations Hope. For more information contact Derrick.
